Five Hours in the Countryside with Kien Nguyen

Mr Kien Nguyen runs this, and the pitch is escape: five hours out of Hoi An and into the countryside, at the pace the countryside keeps. It does not start quietly. The van goes first to a working local market, loud and crowded, and the point of that stop is contact. You deal with the sellers yourself rather than watching a guide do it. Then out. A basket boat through the water coconut forest, and rural Vietnam at the other end of it, which after the old town in high season is a different country. The class comes last, and you eat what you make. Up to fifteen people, in English, with car pick-up and drop-off from Hoi An hotels, lunch and Vietnamese tea. Hotels in Da Nang are charged extra. Wheelchair accessible, service animals allowed, prams fine, infant seats available. Not recommended if you are pregnant, have a spinal injury or a heart condition.
