Don Leon's Farm, Twenty Minutes Inside the Metro Area

Cafe Corazon de Leon is a family farm in San Antonio de Prado, twenty minutes from Medellin and technically still inside the metropolitan area, which is the practical point: this is a half day rather than a day, and you can put something else either side of it. The family are clear about what they are doing. They love the work, and they want to show the legacy to people who care about coffee, which is a different proposition from a tour company that has rented a farm. Four hours, through the process, with the coffee at the end of it. Ten people at most, in English or Spanish, with an air-conditioned vehicle, snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Lunch is not included but can be ordered in advance for ten dollars a head, which is worth doing. Wheelchair accessible throughout, service animals allowed, prams fine. Booking in advance is required; you cannot turn up.
