Santa Barbara, an Hour South, Six People at Most
Santa Barbara is an hour south of Medellin, and it is a coffee town rather than a town with a coffee farm near it, which is a distinction you notice as soon as you arrive. The farm is run on environmentally friendly lines and grows coffee the traditional way, which in practice means shade, hand-picking and time rather than volume. Five hours, six people at most, which is the smallest group of any of the Medellin coffee tours and means the conversation is with the grower rather than at a crowd. The views are the other half. This is high country, and the farm is comfortable enough to sit in. Lunch and coffee are included, and the transport is public or private depending on which option you book. In English or Spanish. Wheelchair accessible, with accessible transport, and service animals allowed.
