Three Recipes, One Workstation Each, in a Cesarina's Home
Three hours in a Neapolitan home cook's own kitchen, private to your group, learning three regional recipes from someone who cooks them for their family rather than for a class list. Every participant gets a workstation with its own utensils and its own ingredients, which sounds like a detail until you have stood behind two other people waiting for the rolling pin. You do the work; the host corrects it as you go, and the corrections are the tricks that never make it into a written recipe. Then everyone sits down to eat all three dishes, with a selection of local reds and whites, water and coffee. The host comes from Cesarine, the oldest network of home cooks in Italy, with more than a thousand of them across over five hundred towns. You are matched to yours by email after booking, based on what you say you are looking for, and the full address arrives then too, for the obvious reason that it is someone's home. Up to fifteen travellers, in English or Italian.
