Bangkok by Longtail Boat, Tuk Tuk and Street Food at Night
Three ways of moving through Bangkok in one evening, which is the reason this exists: the canals, the backstreets and the food are each a separate tour otherwise. It starts on the water. An hour on a longtail boat up the Bangkok Yai canal, ending at Wat Paknam and its big Buddha. Then Talad Plu in Thonburi, a street food market where the prices are local and the crowd is too. Noodles, grilled things, coconut desserts, and none of it arranged for visitors. The tuk tuk takes over for the Old Town: the Giant Swing and the landmarks around it, hopping on and off rather than driving past. It finishes in Chinatown, on Yaowarat under the neon, a few minutes from MRT Wat Mangkon. Three and a half hours, up to fifteen people, in English. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free eaters are all catered for. Alcohol is served only to over-twenties, and under-twenties get the soft version. Not recommended in pregnancy or with cardiovascular problems.

Arrive fifteen to twenty minutes early. Grab is the recommended way in: set the destination to Hidden Bangkok Tours. If you are near the MRT, take the Blue Line to Itsaraphap, exit 2, and walk about fifteen minutes.
Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen
An hour on the Bangkok Yai canal by boat, up to the temple with the big Buddha.
Talad Plu Market
Talad Plu, in Thonburi, a street food market where locals eat: cheap, authentic, from savoury noodles to coconut desserts, and away from the tourist crowds.
Sao Chingcha (the Giant Swing)
Hopping on and off a tuk tuk around the historic landmarks of the Old Town.
Chinatown - Bangkok
The tour ends in Chinatown, on Yaowarat, with the neon, the markets and the street food all going at once.
