Two Chianti Wineries from Florence: Eight Wines and Olive Oil

Under five hours, two wineries, and the drive between them is half of what you are paying for: vineyards, olive groves and cypress on the road south out of Florence. At each estate there is a guided visit and a tasting of four wines plus the olive oil they press. The reds are the ones the Chianti region is known for, Chianti Classico, Riserva, Gran Selezione and the Super Tuscans that ignore the rules on purpose. At the second stop the wine comes with Tuscan cheese, salami, cured ham and bruschetta. The estates change with availability and could be any two of Fattoria Montecchio, Casa Emma, San Michele a Torri, Villa Poggio Torselli, Podere Anselmo, Casa di Monte, Tenuta Capponi, Villa i Langi or Tenuta San Vito. Transport is an air-conditioned vehicle with wifi, and the driver guides in English. The group runs to twenty-five, or to eight if you book the semi-private version. Departures at nine and half past two, returning to the same point at 1.45 and 7pm. Minimum age twelve, drinking age eighteen, no infants. The cellars have stairs, so the tour is not wheelchair accessible. Vegetarian and gluten-free plates with notice. It runs in any weather, and luggage can stay on the bus.
