A Communal Table at ArtEscape, North of the Medina

The operator's own line is that the class is about connection rather than cooking, and the structure backs it up: everything ends at one table, eating what the group made together, rather than everyone taking away their own plate. Three and a half hours, hands on, with a local chef, all the ingredients and all the tools. What you get out of it is meant to survive the flight home: the technique, the reasoning, and enough confidence to make these dishes again in a kitchen that is not this one. It suits both ends of the room. If you cook at home already there is something here you did not know; if you have never made a tagine, nobody will mind. Up to fifteen people, in English, French or Arabic. The venue is ArtEscape, north of the medina, and the practical advice from the operator is worth following: put ArtEscape Marrakech into Google Maps rather than the street address, come by Uber or InDrive rather than a taxi, and arrive fifteen minutes early for the introduction and the welcome tea.
