Diamond Roof Garden is the top of a holiday rental block in Panormou, laid out as an outdoor kitchen and dining space with the Athens skyline round it. The class runs up there. The chef is a professional, and everyone gets to use the equipment rather than watch: three starters, a salad, a main course and a dessert, six things in all, made across three hours and then eaten together at the table. The neighbourhood is residential and quiet, less than ten minutes on foot from Panormou on the blue metro line, with free parking on the surrounding streets if you drive.
