Guess the Spices, on a Farm Outside Marrakech
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
MarrakechSix hours, which buys you the drive out and the time to do the thing properly. The market comes first, and it is a genuinely local one rather than a souk arranged for visitors. You buy what the class needs. Then a private driver takes you out to a farm on the edge of Marrakech, green in a way the city is not, and the class happens there. Before the cooking there is the spice test, which is the operator's own idea and a good one: an array of Moroccan spices, and you guess. Most people manage cumin and cinnamon and then run out, which is exactly the point, because the whole of Moroccan cooking is in that tray and naming them by smell alone is harder than it looks. Then the meal, made by you and eaten there. Up to fifteen people, in English, French or German, with the private transport both ways, hotel pick-up and drop-off from selected hotels, snacks, lunch, drinks and tea or coffee. Wheelchair accessible. Minimum age seven, and children need an adult. Vegetarian on request at booking. Alcohol is not included.
