Pasta Class in a 13th-Century Florence Tower with Unlimited Wine

The school is inside a tower built in the 1200s, a short walk from Brunelleschi's dome, which belonged to the family of Dante's wife. That is not decoration: the room you cook in is the room, with the walls it has always had. The class makes three shapes of fresh pasta from scratch: ravioli, tortellini and tagliatelle. Each has a sauce made to go with it, butter and sage for one, pomarola for another, and a Tuscan ragù cooked the old way. Nobody is expected to arrive knowing anything, and the chef stands with you through every stage rather than demonstrating and leaving you to it. Two and a half hours, and at the end you sit down and eat everything you made. Tuscan wine is unlimited, and so are the soft drinks. All the equipment is provided, so you bring nothing. Up to fifteen people, in English, and the room is accessible throughout.
