Pizza from Dough to Oven in Florence, with Gelato Unlimited

The school is on Via Panicale, a minute from the Central Market, and the class is built for people who want to leave able to make a pizza rather than to have watched one being made. You start with the dough and take it all the way: stretching, topping, baking. A professional local chef works alongside the group and the technique is the real content, since a pizza is dough and heat and not much else. Then the gelato. An artisan makes it in front of you, which is worth watching if you have only ever seen it scooped, and afterwards it is unlimited. So is the wine for adults, and the soft drinks for children. Three hours, in English, with up to twenty in the room. You leave with a digital recipe booklet and a graduation certificate. Families are the reason this one is priced the way it is: choosing the family option at checkout takes up to half off for children and teenagers. Anyone under eighteen has to be with an adult, or the operator can refuse them entry without a refund. Not suitable for coeliacs. No pets. It runs in any weather, and no-shows are not refunded.
