Pizza or Pasta and Gelato at a Tuscan Farm outside Florence

The class is not in Florence. A bus takes the group fifteen minutes out to a Tuscan estate, which is why this one runs to five hours and why the setting looks the way it does. You choose pizza or pasta when you book. Either way a professional chef takes you through the dough and the technique, and then everyone makes gelato, which is the part most people have never seen done properly and which involves a good deal more than sugar and cream. Then a three-course meal of what came out of the kitchen, with wine and beer. You leave with the recipes and a cooking diploma. Five hours door to door, transport included, up to fifteen people, in English. Minimum age eight. Two things to know before booking: the kitchen is shared, so food allergies cannot be accommodated and there is no gluten-free option, and the surfaces on the estate are uneven, so the tour cannot take wheelchairs or anyone with walking difficulties.
