House of Taste Thai Cooking Class with Curry Paste from Scratch

The school sits in Sukhumvit 4, and what you get depends on the time you book. Morning classes start at a nearby market, where the guide walks you through what is on the stalls: the vegetables, the herbs, the spices and the rice that Thai cooking runs on, and you buy what you are about to use. Afternoon and evening classes skip the market and start at the school with a session on carving a mango. Then two hours of cooking, four dishes, made from the beginning. That includes the curry paste, pounded rather than opened, and the coconut milk, which is a different thing when it has not come out of a tin. Each dish is eaten as it comes off the heat, rather than everything at once at the end. The kitchen is air-conditioned and there are lockers for your bags. You take the recipes home. Three and a half hours, in Thai or English, and bookings take up to fourteen. Vegetarian, halal and kosher menus are available if requested at booking, as are allergy adjustments. Note that this booking is non-refundable.
